Sri Sathya Sai Baba views on God

Sri Sathya is a God avatar for His devotees. He is a Spiritual Guru who commands massive following all over the world with his service and preachings. God, the Almighty is omnipresent and omnipotent. He has no beginning and also no ending. God is everywhere and is everything. But for many, it appears as if He is nowhere and he is not in anything. God is the love, the Power, the Truth, the wisdom and the Beauty. When you accept love, you accept God. The tender plant of spirituality can grow only in the field of love. It cannot thrive in the loveless land of human hearts. Remove all traces of salinity from your hearts. Water it with faith. Then plant the seedling of Divinity. Discipline is the fence and steadfastness is the pesticide to be applied. Then you can reap the rich harvest of Janna (wisdom), which will free you from the bonds of this physical world, as it is our temporary abode only. Those who laugh at people doing Bahamans (hymns) or visiting temples or attending Divine Discourses, have not tasted the nectar, and so hey are prejudiced against the devotees. Pity them as they do not know what they are missing. The good slogan is: “fewer luggages are more comfort for the journey’’. So also, Reduced desires, loosen attachments to worldly things, are more comfortable, for the ornery of life and you will be liberated. Remember: -The end of wisdom is freedom,  -The end of education is character,  -The end of knowledge is love. Without God, life is like a school without a teacher, It is like a wire with no electric current passing through it and it is a body without a Soul. God is in us, around us and beyond us. God is known by His manifestations in men, plants, animals, birds and in things and beings all around us. Ordinary people will swear that the earth doesn’t move at al, but it is moving unbelievably fast. God too is a reality, ever present in us and in every being, but we miss Him, as the movement of the earth. We have to infer God through proofs and evidences of His providence, His Grace, His Majesty and His Glory, as we do in case of … [Read more...]

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar: Random thoughts

These are the random thoughts of Art of Living Guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar:  What is the purpose of our life in this world? Some live meaning fully in this world while some may live life without purpose. Know yourself, why you have come to this world? What is the role you have to play here?  You have come to this world: Not for worrying, not for facing troubles always, not to scold others, not for exhibiting your egoism, not to feel stress and strain, not to annoy others.  You come to know the purpose of your existence here, there is a dramatic change in your mode of living. We are living to know some meaning to our valuable life.  Ask yourself why I am not being in happy mood? Why I am getting angry? Why things are not going as I wish?  Such type questions make you to look into your inner self. This introspection makes you feel that you now understand something. You are under the illusion that you know everything.  But if anybody asks you what you understand about life, no reply comes from you. If a man changes from the state of “that I know all to a state of knows nothing “– it means you are on the path of understanding the meaning of your birth on this earth. It is called the state of enlightenment.  If anything is beyond the human knowledge, it indicates it is the divinity.  The wonderful thing is –man cannot properly understand his own mind. It is strange to here but true fact. Swamiji advises us to understand the life in the above angle and lead a happy and successful life, by believing in GOD.  You don’t know what is happening in your mind which is like a roller coaster- it is a crowd. Our life is a mystery, beautiful, wonderful- so live it happily and peacefully.   … [Read more...]
